DirectX Runtimes

Install (re-install for some) the latest DirectX for your version of Windows if you are having video-related trouble or if you do not have DirectX 8.0a or higher (required by Shattered Earth). DirectX 9.x is not available for Windows 95 users. If you use Windows 95, DirectX 8.0a is your only option.

Visual Basic 6 Runtime Files

The Visual Basic 6 runtimes are required to play Shattered Earth. If you are unsure as to whether or not you have these, it doesn't hurt to download again. Windows XP comes with these already.
